i'm a Ph.D. student at McGill, originally from t.o. my dissertation research is on documentary as pedagogy/subculture as curriculum based on my participation with a documentary by Oracle Productions on Hip hop in Montreal that is being made using a participatory youth filmmaking process. turned on by hip hop, hip hop studies, critical pedagogy, critiques of critical pedagogy, multicultural education, asian-canadian studies, cultural studies, 'cool' studies.

im also involved in trying to raise the multicultural roof @ our faculty of education here in mcgill. we're in the works of building a coalition of students/scholars/faculty/staff who want to revitalize our current multicultural education program.
