Joe Kincheloe's guestbook

Hey Joe:

Man, this is an IMPRESSIVE site. Definitely a class A resource. I look forward to meeting more like minded folks and taking part in the discussions.

I've never done an "academic" Although a few friends and I once talked talked about putting together a band to play sociology conferences. We were going to call it "Master of Sociological Thought" after the classic Lewis Coser theory textbook. Then the other guys traded their guitars for leather elbow patches.
I never could do that, and the blame lies squarely of David Purpel who refused to write me a rec letter for grad school unless I promised to never stop making music. 20 years later, here I am.

good for david. what an amazing man he is. i can't do "academic" as a hillbilly, low class, rocker. i have to make my own spaces

Thanks for the acknowledgement Joe - will do. Also check out Attawapiskat entry to the Forum I made yesterday about a group of First Nation's kids advocating for their own new school on a N. Ontario reserve.
